Get more vendor referrals the old fashioned way – earn them.
Our friends over at Shoot Dot Edit have been creating some really great content on their blog. One of their latest offerings is “5 WAYS TO CREATE A WIN WITH VENDOR REFERRALS” and it’s pretty spot-on. That is, if you are in the market for more vendor referrals.
Their #4 tip is perhaps our #1. Hook Them Up – while you’re shooting an event for your clients, you’re also working for yourself. And by that, we mean your vendor-referrals. Shoot the flowers while the florist sets them up. Shoot the coordinator while they’re in action. Shoot the food with the caterer’s logo in the foreground. Shoot a little promo material for each vendor at each opportunity, and send it over to them as an act of sheer benevolence. They’ll thank you by sharing those photos (with credit to you) on their websites, their Socials, and on their refrigerators.
